Leduc County celebrates dedicated volunteer community
April 16, 2013 – Local seniors’ centre volunteers and board members will be honoured for their outstanding efforts as part of National Volunteer Week, taking place Canada wide April 21 to 27.
This year’s theme, “Volunteers Cast a Beautiful Shadow,” reflects the positive impact volunteers have on communities across the country.
“Our volunteers play a significant role in the success of programs offered by Leduc County and this week is one small way to recognize outstanding individuals and show our appreciation for their selfless dedication,” says Sara Russell, Seniors Services Coordinator.
Leduc County Family and Community Support Services are coordinating a number of activities to recognize and thank senior centre board members and volunteers during National Volunteer Week 2013.
